Suckers are powerful fly monsters who can be commonly found from The Basement up to Sheol. They appear in both The Binding of Isaac and the Rebirth remake.

Behavior

Sucker will slowly float towards the player, dealing 1/2 heart of contact damage. It has similar health to Gapers and Moters, but upon death it triggers a 4-way blood bullet shot in cardinal directions. Each projectile is angled very slightly to its right.

Eternal Champion Behavior

Eternal Suckers shoot periodical 4-way cardinal blood bullets while slowly floating, and will shoot 8 blood bullets in all directions upon death.

Notes

• They can be spawned by bosses, including C.H.A.D., Monstro II, and the Champion version of The Duke of Flies.

Trivia

• Some speculate them to be mosquito-ladybug hybrids. They have proboscis like mosquitoes but are red and fat like ladybugs.
  • Another theory is that they are mosquitoes full of blood just before the point of bursting, hence the color and fatness.
  • It may also be a tick-fly hybrid also at the point at bursting.
